Game Rules
Last updated: November 5, 2026
FootyBoss is a competition, and it only works if everyone plays fair. These rules apply to every account. They sit next to the terms.
The idea
Win with your squad, your tactics and your patience. Do not win by tricking the game or other players. If something is unclear, ask us through /report before you do it.
One person, one account
Multi-accounting is forbidden. You may not run more than one account, play for someone else, share an account, or use extra accounts to feed players, coins or gems to your main club, to rig the market, or to farm rewards, referral bonuses or the email bonus.
Family members or flatmates on the same network may each play, with their own account and their own device. We look at patterns, not only at addresses.
Bugs and exploits
If you find a bug, report it at /report and do not use it. Exploiting a bug to gain coins, gems, players, rewards or places in a league or cup is cheating, even if the game allows it.
Scripts, bots, automation and tools that play or trade for you are not allowed, and neither is overloading or probing the service.
No trading for real money
Coins, gems, players and accounts have no cash value. Selling, buying, renting or swapping them for real money, crypto or goods outside the game is forbidden, as is arranging a deal on the in-game market that is really a private payment.
Market deals that look like transfers between your own accounts, or that move value between players at a price that makes no sense, are checked and can be cancelled.
Names and behaviour
Club, stadium and short names must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, political slurs, misleading, or the name or trademark of a real person, club or company. Do not impersonate us.
Be decent to other managers. Harassment, threats and hate are not tolerated, in names or anywhere else in the game.
Packs and chances
The chances of every player pack are public on pack odds. Packs for gems are not available in Belgium. Never spend more than you are comfortable with: the game is fully playable for free.
What happens if you break the rules
We look at the facts of each case and pick the mildest step that works:
- Warning: an email to the address of your account telling you what to stop doing. Repeat it and the next step comes.
- Reset: we remove what was gained unfairly, up to resetting the club's progress, coins, gems or players.
- Ban: we block the account. While it is blocked you cannot sign in or play. Its club, coins, gems and items stay on it, and if we lift the ban you get the account back with them; the game does not pause in the meantime, so scheduled matches and seasons go on as for any manager who is away. Serious cases (fraud, trading for money, repeated multi-accounting) can go straight to a ban. Several accounts used to break the rules (for example to farm referrals or to trade between your own accounts) may each be blocked.
Refunds for an account we close for breaking the rules: see the terms.
Appeals
A ban can be appealed via /report or by email to hello@footyboss.net. Describe what happened. Appeal period: 30 days from the day you learn of the ban. Appeals are read by a person; we aim to answer every one, but we cannot promise how quickly.
Reporting a problem
See someone cheating, an offensive name, a payment problem or a bug? Use the report form. You do not need an account for it, and you can stay anonymous, though an email may let us write back.
Reports are read by a person. We do not always tell you what we did about another player, and we do not promise a reply, especially to an email address we have not verified.
